Mark Casaletto      President, ConstructConnect

Mark Casaletto, President of ConstructConnect – Canada has over 20 years of leadership experience in the industry.  He is an active speaker at industry events providing insight and intelligence on the state and economics of the Canadian construction industry, trends and current events impacting the industry as well as how the digital space and technology are transforming and changing the way we work in Construction.

During his 20-year tenure in the construction industry, Mark has held senior management positions with such companies as McGraw-Hill, Whatman-Balston, Reed Elsevier and Embanet Corporation where he served as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer before joining CMD in December, 2005.  Mark is a Ryerson University graduate completing a Commerce degree with a major in economics.  In 2005, he completed the Strategic Leadership Program at Harvard University and has since steered this 100-year-old authoritative voice of Canada’s construction industry into the digital age by enhancing their web presence to a respected and popular Canadian source for construction news, project data, and industry analytics.

In 2012, he was appointed as a Director-at-Large of the Canadian Construction Association where he served for a four-year term. In 2014, he was asked to sit on the advisory board of the School of Engineering Technology and Environmental Studies at Georgian College. In 2015, he was appointed to the board of the Toronto Construction Association. In 2017 he was awarded the Industry Ally award by the Council of Ontario Construction Associations.

Kevin Brown      Founder & CEO, Cobalt Safety

Kevin Brown has spent many years passionately leading and making a difference in the health and safety profession. With over 30 years of heavy civil, sewer watermain and construction experience, and Kevin’s background as a former Ministry of Labour Inspector, Investigator, and Inspectorate Peer Trainer, Kevin brings a unique and refreshing perspective.

Kevin has lead or assisted in 218 major workplace serious accident investigations and has participated at some of the highest levels of Health and Safety in Ontario, from the Ministry of Labour Workplace Violence and Harassment Bill 168 steering, policy and training committees, to the Ontario Workplace Prevention system review by the Ontario Chief Prevention Officer.

Frustrated by the slow speed to change by government, Kevin stepped up from the Ontario Ministry of Labour in 2013 after seeing safety fail so often. Witnessing firsthand the impact that workplace accidents have on workers, their families, and employers, Kevin realized that enforcement is not the only answer to safety.

Kevin is the Founder and CEO of Cobalt Safety Consulting Inc., and Cobalt Safety Inc. and in 2019 was the first Canadian company to receive a prestigious World Safety Organization Award. They offer high-quality safety services from workplace safety management, inspection, policy and program writing to professional accident investigation.


Joshua Keene RSSW, CPGC      Addiction/Mental Health Counsellor/Consultant

Joshua has extensive experience working with various populations including youth, adult and older adult populations. During his career, Joshua has provided services in all aspects of the treatment continuum including; substance use, problem gambling, and problem gaming/internet use; as well as having worked in community treatment, residential treatment, crisis and referral and intensive day/evening counselling.   Joshua has been recognized for his energetic and respectful style of counselling. He has a great record of working collaboratively with his clients to develop positive treatment outcomes.

Joshua’s interest in this excellent service comes not only from his extensive experience and training in addiction and mental health, his strong commitment to family and community but also his strong familiarity in the work of Local 1059 members due to his previous role in construction.

Robert Meunier       President & Co-founder of Maestro Technologies

Robert Meunier graduated from the Polytechnique school of Montreal in 1986 and holds an electrical engineering degree. He is President and co-founder of Maestro Technologies. For over 30 years, he has been interested in technologies that can help construction companies to improve their performance. Involved in various organizations under different form, he is considered as a technological leader in the industry. He sits on the executive committee of the Quebec Road Builder Association and was appointed Provincial Vice-Chair Quebec with the CCA (Canadian Construction Association). He is also a board member of the Batimatech. A non-for-profit organization which mission is to foster innovation, collaboration, agility and integration of the best digital solutions to the construction actors.


The informative seminars held, gave me a unique opportunity to understand some of the challenges facing my customers today.
