Kevin has lead or assisted in 218 major workplace serious accident investigations and has participated at some of the highest levels of Health and Safety in Ontario, from the Ministry of Labour Workplace Violence and Harassment Bill 168 steering, policy and training committees, to the Ontario Workplace Prevention system review by the Ontario Chief Prevention Officer.
Frustrated by the slow speed to change by government, Kevin stepped up from the Ontario Ministry of Labour in 2013 after seeing safety fail so often. Witnessing firsthand the impact that workplace accidents have on workers, their families, and employers, Kevin realized that enforcement is not the only answer to safety.
Kevin is the Founder and CEO of Cobalt Safety Consulting Inc., and Cobalt Safety Inc. and in 2019 was the first Canadian company to receive a prestigious World Safety Organization Award.
